Energy Efficient Buildings
Buildings in the U.S. account for approximately 70% of electricity consumed and 38% of C02 emissions.
A Sustainable Program for Buildings
From classrooms to civic centers, we have a proven track record of developing sustainable building projects. Our program begins by looking at the whole facility and how it uses energy and water, as well as indoor air quality. Our experts first consider opportunities to improve the facility's energy efficiency through different technologies, including indoor lighting, water and control systems, HVAC, electrical infrastructure, thermal heat storage recovery, and building shell improvements. Then, after developing optimal, high-efficiency demand-side-management solutions, we turn to options involving renewable technologies like solar.
In addition, our LEED-accredited professionals offer engineering and design services needed to transform typical buildings into high-performance buildings. (LEED® is an acronym for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, a certification program of the U.S. Green Building Council that has a rating system for new and existing buildings constructed or retrofitted reduce impacts on the environment.)
